Switching Headgears
3 February 2019 10:16I'm slowly settling back into my fannish headspace after having my life turned upside down (in a good way) this week. I've been sort of stunned, suddenly facing so many positive choices that I couldn't see where to start. I spent way too much time these past few days playing mobile games while I thought things over, then re-thought them. That includes A Bed of Thorns, which I finally added a few words to last night. I planned to sit down and write this morning, then get ready for tomorrow's class, but I woke up to a leak in the bathroom. Soggy carpet tiles and a side-panel on the bath that two not-DIY-inclined householders seem incapable of shifting to find where the leak is. Meh. This bathroom is a couple of years older than I am (so well on its way to 50 years) and really needs stripping out and replacing with something that uses parts available in the 21st century. We bought it a few more years by replacing the toilet and taps a few years ago. Right now, the panel has to come off so we can stick a bucket or bowl somewhere strategic.
If I can ever get away from wrestling with DIY ineptitude and feeble, clumsy fingers vs fifty-year-old rusty screws, Belle has a lot to say today.
