Not so plastic-free
9 January 2019 07:06Having set up a weekly milk delivery to get back to glass bottles/closed-loop containers for cow-juice at least, I smugly ordered glass bottles of water in the same delivery. It's 4x the price of my plastic bottles, but hey. Fizzy water is a staple for me, not a luxury. Let's eliminate that pile of plastic, and the possibility that I'm ingesting god-knows-what leeched into my main water supply from the plastic container.
The posh glass bottles came on a cardboard slab wrapped in thick plastic.
Didn't think of that. Far less plastic than my weekly pile of empty bottles, true, but I can recycle those at the kerbside. I can't recycle this type of plastic wrap at all.
*headdesk* *eco-fail*
